On April 25, 2006 Danny and Nancye Ricketts set off for Richmond from Danville, Virginia. Early in the morning and barely out of Danville city limits their timing belt snapped; well, the car's timing belt.
Thanks to Danny's brother-in-law James Lynch, by giving them a lift back home for another car, they made it to Richmond near lunchtime.
After several grueling hours of sweat and mental anguish from trying to assemble the large 214 year-old jigsaw puzzle, they finally finished.
A company from Manassas, Virginia will be constructing an armature to hold the waterwheel up on the wall in the museum. Assembly of the wheel was necessary so they could take accurate measurements for the armature.

Ricketts work on the center section of the waterwheel. The painted wall on the top-right of the picture is where the waterwheel will hang. The artifact cases and computer monitor with pictures will be in front of waterwheel.
