***Christy Hicks - We were very fortunate to have a landowner like Christy. I do believe that 99% of other landowners would have not allowed such an excavation to take place. Christy has been very supportive from the beginning to the end of excavations. Thanks Christy!
***Hughes Elliott of Elliotts Towing - Mr. Elliott was available to help us moved a 1,000 pound timber from it's resting place of 200 years within a moments notice.
***Hardison Construction Co. - Helped move many tons of dirt from the site!
***Danville Science Center - Hosted the first exhibition of the water wheel and artifacts in 2004.
***Harry Adkins - Drove all the way from Clarksville, VA (Bugg's Island Lake) to help in excavations. Harry grew up just down the road from Beavers' Mill. Nothing stops Harry when he sets his mind to it! Only those at the excavations will understand!
***Dianne Brooks - Helped with excavations.
***Dino Dunning - Dino drove all the way from Rustburg, VA (near Lynchburg) to help with excavations. Dino isn't scared of getting his hands dirty!
***Donald Hardison Jr. - Helped move tons of dirt!! Thanks for your time.
***Doug McCraw - Even with a bad back, Doug was more than willing to help unload hundreds of pounds of artifacts from our truck when they were transported to Campbell County in 2004.
***Lafayette McKinney - Cousin "Sonny-Boy" was a big help moving tons of dirt!
***Herman Melton - For all of his tireless efforts in researching and writing the books on the mills in Pittsylvania County!
***Dave Newman - Dave helped with excavations as well as helping with the exhibition of the water wheel and artifacts in the Danville Science Center in 2004.
***Joey Ricketts - Joey, Bobby's 14 year old son has helped excavate, load, unload, load, unload, and load hundreds of pounds of wooden and iron artifacts. Joey also suffered from a bad case of poison ivy from the first excavation. He has now learned that you CAN "catch" poison ivy even when there are no leaves!
***Margie Stroud - Harry Adkins' sister, who also grew up just down the road from Beavers' Mill. We would like to thank Margie for her wonderful support during excavations and for taking pictures!
***Sonya Wolen - Sonya made the exhibition of the water wheel and artifacts at the Danville Science Center happen. She made up many signs for visitors to know what they were looking at when they came to the Science Center.
***Bruce, Doris, and Kyle Alexander - Drove all the way from Campbell County to help transport sections of the water wheel back to Danville. Thanks!
***Therit Winstead - Offered his services to move the heavy timbers that were excavated at Beavers' Mill. Thanks!
